Breastmilk Stone Finishes

Every batch of breastmilk is unique, which means no two breastmilk stones will ever be exactly the same. The final colour of your keepsake is influenced by the natural composition of your milk, with some appearing creamier, some more yellow-toned, and others having subtle blue or grey undertones.

The finishes below are designed to enhance the natural beauty of your breastmilk while still allowing your unique journey to shine through.

Natural Breastmilk

Natural breastmilk uses only your preserved breastmilk to create the colour of the stone.

Depending on your milk, the finished colour may range from a soft creamy white through to gentle ivory, pale yellow or even subtle blue/grey tones. If your milk looks similar to cow's milk, the finished stone will often appear a soft milky white.

Many customers love this finish because it showcases the true beauty of their breastmilk, often including the tiny flecks of preserved breastmilk.

White Shimmer

White shimmer is one of my most popular finishes.

This finish keeps the natural creamy colour of your breastmilk while adding a delicate sparkle throughout the stone. The shimmer catches the light beautifully without overpowering the breastmilk itself, creating a subtle and elegant finish.

Perfect if you would like a little extra sparkle whilst maintaining the natural colour.

Pearl Shimmer

Pearl shimmer offers a brighter appearance than white shimmer whilst still remaining soft and understated.

When the light catches the stone, you may notice delicate flashes of blue, green and purple, similar to the inside of a pearl shell. The effect is subtle rather than bold.

Gold Shimmer

Gold shimmer is often paired with naturally cream or yellow toned breastmilk and beautifully complements the warm tones already present within the milk.

A delicate gold sparkle is added throughout the stone, creating a soft liquid gold effect without looking overly glittery. This finish is particularly popular with yellow gold jewellery settings.

White Dye

If your breastmilk has naturally yellow, grey or blue undertones but you would prefer a more traditional milky white appearance, a small amount of white pigment can be added.

This creates a brighter white finish whilst still using your own preserved breastmilk. White dye can also be combined with white shimmer, pearl shimmer or gold shimmer if desired.

The examples shown are intended as a guide only. Because every batch of breastmilk is different, colours and finishes may vary slightly from those pictured.

This natural variation is part of what makes every breastmilk keepsake completely unique.

Not every breastmilk stone has to be white either!

The incredible variety of colours found in breastmilk never ceases to amaze me
