Hair and Umbilical Cord Encasement

Encasing hair or umbilical cord within your breastmilk jewellery can result in breathtakingly beautiful pieces. It offers a lovely way to include your other children, or even yourself, in this precious keepsake. The design is entirely up to you, giving you full control over the final piece.

Please note that not all hair can be shaped, and if the hair you want to include is very pale, it may appear almost translucent within the jewellery. For shaping, first cuts of hair are best, as they are fine and easily manipulated. If the hair is from an older child or adult or thicker than the typical first haircut strands, I will be limited on how much I can manipulate the hair into place.

Umbilical cord colours can vary, ranging from deep reds and purples to gold and yellow shades. Each piece is unique to you and your child. When sending the dried umbilical cord, just a small pea-sized snip is needed. Full instructions will be included in the DNA Collection Kit, which you will receive shortly after placing your order.

Rest assured, any hair and dried umbilical cord not used in the jewellery will be returned to you along with the finished piece.

They had endured 5 rounds of IVF and 4 heartbreaking miscarriages before being blessed with their precious twin boys. The locket was meticulously personalized with her preserved breastmilk, intertwined with 15 strands of hair from their twin boys to symbolize the 15 lost embryos during their IVF journey. Additionally, 4 delicate forget-me-not flowers were added to represent the 4 miscarriages they had bravely faced together.
