Choosing the Perfect Ring Style: Everyday Wear vs. Occasional
.When choosing a ring style, think about how often you’ll wear it. Some designs are durable enough for daily wear, while others are best saved for special occasions.
For everyday use, plain band rings or pieces without pavé stones are the most robust. Pavé refers to the tiny crystals that surround a setting or band – they look beautiful but are more delicate and better suited to occasional wear. Knocks can loosen the stones, and pavé rings generally can’t be resized. They also don’t tolerate soaking, as this increases the risk of stones coming loose.
I do offer a 3-month warranty on pavé settings (at my discretion). Care instructions must be followed, though I understand accidents happen – in most cases I can repair pavé jewellery, sometimes with a small fee depending on the work required.
Rings like the Marquise, and Raindrop for example are styles are also suitable for everyday wear. Just note that on full-banded marquise rings, the crystals underneath the finger may take more knocks, so it’s best to remove them for heavy tasks or housework. These accent crystals are secured differently from pavé settings, making them stronger and more practical for regular wear.
You’ll also find notes in each product description highlighting its suitability.
Marquise rings are well-suited to everyday wear, as the accent stones are each securely set in their own setting. Please just keep in mind that on full-banded marquise designs, the crystals sitting at the underside of your finger are more likely to receive knocks than those on top. To help protect your ring, it’s best to remove it before any heavy tasks or housework.

Warranty & Aftercare for Accent Stone Jewellery
All jewellery featuring accent stones comes with a 3-month warranty. During this time, if any stones are lost, I will repair them free of charge (at my discretion). If it’s clear that aftercare guidance hasn’t been followed, a small repair fee may apply.
Examples of inadequate aftercare include:
Yellowing or clouding of the breastmilk stone
Dents in the metal band
Damaged prongs (bent or snapped from being caught)
Everyday signs of wear, such as light scratches or scuffs, are normal and not treated as aftercare issues.
After the 3-month period, I continue to offer a repair service for accent stone jewellery at a reasonable cost. Your keepsake will always be handled with the greatest care and attention, no matter how long you’ve had it.
